ADA*

ADA is the California-based company behind the fantastic wrap belts that have been so popular in Custard. The designer Ada Komorniczak constructs her accessories (including the wrap belts) with buttery multi-textured leathers from family run farms in Argentina. The wrap belt is a fantastic accessory for dresses and flowy tops. If you have already bought the wrap belt, or are interested to learn more about it, the YouTube video with instructions on tying the belt can be found here.

Alternative Apparel*

Based out of Atlanta, Alternative Apparel is another great socially responsible line with strict guidelines on the labor and the materials that go into making their garments. Environmentally friendly dyes and fabrics are only used to make these garments—including polyester made from recycled plastic bottles and organic cotton. Add it all up and you get one of the most comfortable tee shirts you have ever worn for a very affordable price!

Amour Vert**

It actually is pretty easy to be green AND chic. Amour Vert, which literally translates to “love green,” makes it completely possible with French fashion-inspired sustainable clothing that is not outrageously priced. A San Francisco based company, Amour Vert implements soy-based dyes, organic cottons, silk, bamboo and hemp when constructing their clothes (to learn more about the fabrics used, click HERE). This leads to a stylish yet well-constructed garment that is environmentally friendly. Come try on one of their amazingly soft dresses at Custard! You won’t want to take it off.

As Is*

As Is is responsible for some of the beautiful tribal-inspired pieces in Custard. With fringe and asymmetrical details and a repeated tribal design, this line became popular with Custard customers fast! With a great price point and a fun point of view, As Is can, and should be, worn daily. Cute dresses, cool boot straps, awesome earrings and feather hair pieces, large over-sized ponchos and great tops are just the beginning of this line!

  Bandit Brand

This brand has attitude and is not afraid to show it. Super soft tee shirts with fun designs, tribal and turquoise jewelry and accessories, fringe, and studded leather are some of the highlights of this brand. The tee shirts are entirely handmade and hand screen printed in fun, vintage prints and have cool distressing details. Some of Custard’s favorites include a Thunderbird leather cuff, a roller skating squirrels tee shirt, and a leather feather key fob.

Betsy & Iya*

Jewelry by Betsy & Iya is handmade in Portland, Oregon. These pieces have vintage-inspired designs with a funky twist. We loved this jewelry so much we asked Betsy & Iya to custom make earrings for the Custard fashion show in 2011 Savannah Fashion Week. This included asymmetrical earrings with cute sayings, which are now available for purchase in Custard! This line of jewelry is one of the personal favorites of the employees at Custard, with the Vintage Pull necklace topping the list in greatest necklaces of all time!

Buffalo David Bitton

Buffalo is recognized and sold worldwide. Starting out as just a jeans line, it now offers all sorts of men’s and women’s clothing, the latter of which can be found in Custard! Beautiful dresses, fun blouses, basic tees, and fantastic denim are all available. Er’Go**

Mmm… smell that? Er’Go candles are so amazing they will make your mouth water. With scents like sweet tobacco, sage pine (the official store scent), verve (a citrusy blend) and currant! currant!, it is hard to decide which scent to take home! Based in Austin, Texas, Er’Go candles are made with a 100% chemical-free vegetable soy wax, hand poured, and all the raw materials purchased to make the candles are strictly from American companies—even the wick, made from American-grown cotton. La Mer*

Watches were not just made to tell time. At least not La Mer watches. Yes, these timepieces do have a perfectly functioning clock, but they also do something some other watches do not: make a statement! Why wrap around your wrist just once? Why not two or three times? And let’s add some beautiful beading or charms and make the straps pops of color. Perfect! Now THAT’S a watch. La Mer watches are inspired by worldly travels, yet handmade in the United States.
